About Laterna
Founded in 2016, Laterna Dance Company is a fusion dance troupe that blends the elegance of bellydance with each dancer’s unique flair. Drawing inspiration from American Cabaret, Swing, Hip-hop, Modern, and FatChanceBellyDance styles, their performances are a mesmerizing mix of tradition and innovation. With swords, veils, and expressive storytelling, this Richmond-based troupe creates performances that are both whimsical and empowering.
Laterna is co-directed by Andrea and Stephanie. Troupe members are Allisen, Andrea, Ari, Ashlee, Robyn, Stephanie, Tarsenna, and Victoria.
